Connection Properties
When any single-phase equipment is fed from another equipment upstream and its conductor configuration is different from the upstream equipment, a symbol appears in the one-line to indicate the connection property is different at the point of connection. Where connection properties are similar the connector symbol is not displayed. We refer to this symbol as a phase connector.

Phase connector symbols can be turned on or off in System Options on the Symbol tab.
Tip: You can change the symbol shape by customizing the symbol template. See Customizing One-line Symbols for more information.
When you connect single-phase equipment to 3-phase equipment or to 1PH-3W equipment you are prompted to select the phase connection. This enables you to select the new connection type.

The possible connections for 3-phase and 1PH-3W distribution systems are those described in Distribution Systems.
Tip: Hover the mouse pointer over the phase connector symbol to display the connection type in a tool tip.
