Option Descriptions
Option	Description
Create Permit	Select the check boxes in this column to create a work permit corresponding to each work task.
Work Task	Type of work to be performed. These tasks are defined in the device library. The tasks listed as default tasks are as per NFPA 70E. You can add to or modify the default data in the library.
Option	Lets you select the protective device to use for arc flash calculations. None: If there is a main breaker or fuse on the bus then the main device is included for analysis. This corresponds to the Including Main selection for Worst Case Output in the arc flash options. Incoming: Excludes the main device for analysis. This corresponds to the Excluding Main selection for Worst Case Output in arc flash options. The arc flash result is based on a trip device further upstream to the bus you are working on. Feeder: Uses the trip time of the feeder device. You would use this option if you are working on the feeder and are expecting the feeder device to trip in case of a fault.
Working Distance	The anticipated closest working distance from the employees’ chest/face to the closest energized exposed part.
Distance Unit	Units of the working distance. This is typically in inches. You can change it to mm from the standard library.
Auto-Hyperlink Work Permits to Bus	Work permits that are created are automatically hyperlinked to the Bus Data. Since the hyperlink is created while you are in the Short Circuit focus, you must save the temporary changes to the database when you enter the Database Edit focus, or the hyperlink will be lost.
Electrode Configuration	This is the electrode configuration of the bus. This choice affects the calculations used in the arc flash hazard equations. The configuration is already specified on the bus data, but this option enables you to override it if it was not entered correctly on the bus. You can also specify multiple electrode configurations. See Electrode Configuration for more information. Note: You may receive a warning message that the electrode configuration is not being considered. See Standard in Arc Flash Hazard Options and Apply IEEE Calculation Factor Based on Electrode Configuration in Advanced Arc Flash Options for more information.
