Load Definitions

The reliability evaluation includes information about any loads or all loads.

  • Any Load: Instantaneous probability that any component will be down.
  • All Loads: Instantaneous probability that the entire system will be down.

The table below provides additional definitions.

Load Definitions

Any Load

All Loads

Failure Rate

Number of times at least one load will fail per year.

Number of times all loads selected for evaluation will fail simultaneously per year.

Unavailability

Number of hours at least one load will be unavailable per year

Number of hours all loads selected for evaluation will be unavailable simultaneously per year.

Average Repair

Average repair time when at least one load fails.

Average repair time when all loads selected for evaluation fail simultaneously.

Ai

Availability of a system on a scale of 0 to 1 when all loads selected for evaluation are running.

Availability of a system on a scale of 0 to 1 when at least one load is running.

Reliability

Reliability of a system on a scale of 0 to 1 when all loads selected for evaluation are running.

Reliability of a system on a scale of 0 to 1 when at least one load is running.
