Import Notes
This topic describes some notes regarding the import process from Revit to EasyPower.
- Revit does not include cables, so EasyPower creates them during the import based on circuit information. The cable insulation is derived from the Revit parameter Wire Type in the Electrical Settings.
- You will need to add a source after importing, such as a utility or generator, before you can perform any analysis on the one-line.
- When importing transformer from Revit to EasyPower, the program automatically creates buses to represent the primary and secondary terminals. The bus type for these buses is automatically set to Transformer Terminal, and auto-sizing is automatically locked to prevent the program from specifying an Amp value for these buses.
- For the transformer primary and secondary terminals, you can specify whether to exclude the transformer terminal buses from arc flash in the mapping configuration. By default, the terminal buses are included in arc flash.
-
For transformers, the symmetrical fault current is derived from the secondary bus. Arc flash analysis results are derived from the highest incident energy result for either the primary or secondary bus. Power flow voltage comes from both the primary and secondary buses.
- If you have a custom symbol template defined in Tools > Options > File Locations, the program uses the custom symbols when creating the one-line.
- Single-phase items from Revit are not created in the EasyPower one-line. However, panel row single-phase is supported.
- Feed-through lugs are new to Revit 2020 and are supported in EasyPower.
- To model 3-conductor cables, create a project parameter in Revit for the conductors per cable, and then use the Cable Type in the Circuit Mapping tab of the Configure Revit Import dialog box to map the Revit project parameter to the cable type in EasyPower. See Circuit Mappings for more information.
