Creating a Spreadsheet

This topic describes how to create a spreadsheet for an MCC, panelboard, switchboard, or switchgear. For other bus types, see Creating a Panel Spreadsheet and Creating a Bus Duct Spreadsheet.

To create a spreadsheet:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the Project Home page, under Spreadsheets, tap New Spreadsheet.
    • On the Navigation bar, tap the Spreadsheet Gallery button, and then tap New Spreadsheet.
    • Note: You can also create spreadsheets from within one-lines. See Creating a Spreadsheet from a One-line.

  2. You can add a new spreadsheet for a piece of equipment that already exists in your project, or you can tap New Bus to create the spreadsheet for new equipment. Types available include switchgear, MCC, panel, panelboard, switchboard, and bus duct. In this example, we will choose an MCC.
  3. Type a spreadsheet name or accept the default name.
  4. Select the number of sections for the spreadsheet. For MCCs, you are given the option to choose how you want to export the MCC (as a bus or an MCC). This affects the appearance of the bus when you import it into EasyPower, and also affects whether the spreadsheet is exported. If the option is turned off, the spreadsheet is not exported. However the spreadsheet information is still included in the collected data that is exported.

Note: You will have another opportunity to review the MCC export option when you export the project. You can also change this setting at any time by modifying the bus settings. See Exporting a Project and Changing the Export Options.

  5. Specify the nominal voltage for the equipment, and then tap OK.
  6. You can specify the section details. This helps you to quickly build your spreadsheet by creating it with descriptions and equipment already added. Type the names and select the equipment that is relevant for this section.
  7. You can tap Next Section to advance through the sections to enter the details for each.
  8. If you click Finish before you have specified settings for all the sections, you are given the opportunity to copy the information to the remaining sections.
  9. OnSite displays the spreadsheet based on the options you selected.
