Getting Started

OnSite Overview

OnSite is a mobile app that enables you to collect data and model your electrical power system components. There are several ways for you to work with the information, and you can choose the methods that work best for the task.

Use this mobile app to:

  • Record important power system equipment details in simple-to-use electronic forms or spreadsheet layouts
  • Create one-lines while performing data collection in the field
  • Take pictures or import them and link them to your projects and equipment items
  • Draw sketches of your power system and link them to your projects and equipment items
  • Review your project data to ensure that required information is complete and the data entered is valid
  • Export your collected data into EasyPower

OnSite Features

Your work is organized into projects. You can keep track of multiple projects within OnSite. Each project can contain multiple one-lines, spreadsheets, and media items. All of the project items are available through the Database Browser. For information about projects, see Projects.

  • One-lines: One-lines are electronic diagrams of your power system. You can display the equipment and connections, and can also enter data for each item on the one-line. Use one-lines to model your power system and collect your system data. See One-lines for more information.
  • Spreadsheets: Spreadsheets are a collection of data, organized for specific types of equipment. The information is laid out in a spreadsheet format for easy data entry. Use spreadsheets to collect data on switchgears, MCCs, panels, panelboards, switchboards, and bus ducts. See Spreadsheets for more information.
  • Media: The Media Gallery is a collection of photos or sketches. You can take a photo with your camera, import pictures from your camera roll, draw a sketch, write notes on your photos, and link your photos and sketches to equipment in your project. See Media Gallery for more information.
  • Database Browser: The Database Browser lists all of the equipment, one-lines, and spreadsheets within the project. Use it to quickly find these items within your project. You can search for a specific item or browse the entire database. See Database Browser for more information.

  • Project Review: After you have entered your project data, you can review the project to ensure you are not missing any important data and that all the data has been entered in a valid format. See Reviewing a Project for more information.
  • Project Overview: You can see all of the one-lines in your project displayed in the overview. Use this to easily navigate between one-lines or to connect or disconnect equipment between different one-lines. See Project Overview for more information.
  • Project Export: After you review the project, you can export the project so you can then import it into EasyPower. You can also create an export file for backup purposes. See Exporting a Project for more information.
